Testing Programs

Click on the buttons to the left to view information on the National Barrow Show® (NBS) Progeny Test or the Pennsylvania Swine Testing Program. 

NBS Progeny Test - 8 pigs sired by a single sire.  This group must represent no less than three litters and may be any combination of barrows and gilts.  The pigs do not have to come from the same breeder's operation.  All pigs go to harvest.

PA Testing Program - Pens of either three boars or two or more gilts by the same sire from either one or two litters.  At the completion of the test, all eligible boars and gilts are offered for sale.  All animals not eligible for sale are permitted to return home.  Trucking from the midwest may be available if enough people are interested.  If you have any questions on the PA Test, please contact Greg Innerst, ABA President - 717-880-8318 or Greg Hubbard, assistant director of the station - 814-238-2527.
