There have been more than 550 purebred sires with progeny groups in the National Barrow Show Sire Progeny Tests. The Expected Progeny Differences (EPD) shown reflect the genetic differences between sires after year, slaughter date, sex of pig, Rendement Napole (RN) gene effects and stress (HAL1843) gene effects have accounted for. Genetic relationships between all animals have been included in this analysis to further improve accuracy. Most of the loin quality traits are only partially correlated. Therefore, it is common to find at least one of the loin quality trait EPDs in a different direction. Terms on the summary are: BOAR - Name of sire
and registration number. ADG - Unadjusted progeny average
daily gain, lbs/day. BF10 - Unadjusted progeny tenth rib backfat, inches. HUNTER - Unadjusted Hunter L color score of
progeny loins IMF - Unadjusted progeny loin
